Musik i lejet...

Three year old festival Musik i Lejet (taking place on 20 - 22 July, 2012 in Tisvilde located on the northern coast of Zealand) has announced the first three names for this year's festival and to be honest I'm really quite overwhelmed! Michael Møller, Rangleklods and Chorus Grant is a pretty decent start and now one can only hope that the rest of the line-up will be equally impressive...!

Last night...

Despite not feeling well at all, I decided to go anyway. And of course I'll never regret that I did!

Blah x 3...

What a shitty one today is. My throat is sore and I’m more tired than ever, so will most likely miss the Michael Møller concert at Louisiana tonight. Bummer!

Went to a birthday Tuesday evening and spent parts of the evening chatting with a 50 year old attorney. By that I obviously don't mean that there is anything wrong in being either 50 years old or an attorney. But at some point we (of course) ended up talking about music and must admit I was pretty surprised (and rather impressed) when he suddenly declared his love for "this band named Beirut", which he clearly thought I had never heard of. Didn’t see that one coming, but perhaps this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship?

Tempomatador shares a new track named Sværmeri, which, to be correct, is a new (and vastly improved) recording of demo track Ny Puls that I posted back in March.

Sweden’s bakers at dawn shares his fine cover of Fleetwood Mac's Storm.

Don't you move...

If you enjoyed the live video of No Patience by Go For Gold (I certainly did and still do), don’t forget that the band’s debut EP is free to download from the band’s homepage.

Not to be missed. Michael Møller will be performing solo at the beautiful Louisiana Art Museum on Friday 23rd.

Perhaps some will argue that the low number of blog updates recently indicates that I’m losing interest in the blog, but seriously; the stuff I feel is worth passing on gets rarer and rarer.

This new track by The New Division is pretty nice though. Thank you (once again) J.A. for the heads up! Your recommendations are priceless!

And here’s one more from J.A. Used to post about Bauer when they were called Barfly (what feels like a billion years ago – anyone remember Don’t You Move?) and the new single Change Forever proves that the band still knows how to write a decent pop song!

You will be loved again...

Been looking forward to this for some time (three months at least...) and am now a happy/lucky/fortunate/privileged owner of an A Month of Unrequited Love CD...doubt that any more copies are available (update: apparently I was dead wrong), so you'll have to grab it from iTunes instead (and it's so worth it).

Shorties...

Was away from the computer Friday to Monday to time to do a little ”catching up”.

Sad to hear about the passing of Gustaf Kjellvander. R.I.P.
+ The Fine Arts Showcase - Brother In Black

On a more happy note. Enough money has been donated to finance the release of A Month Of Unrequited Love on double CD and triple vinyl.

Boxstr.net continues to refuse to cooperate so cannot upload anything. And downloading is pretty slow as well!

Entakt gives away the 5 tracks that originally were intended to be released as an EP entitled Stolpe Ud.
+ El Clásico

Just found this nice track by The Demos in the mailbox. Taken from the band’s Lovely album.

Girls tell you secrets...

I never got around to posting anything about Michael Møller’s performance at Charlottenborg (lack superlatives to describe the whole thing I guess), so here’s a picture instead. Had a pretty good seat me thinks!

Finns Delay Trees shares a third track from their self-titled debut album. Tarantula/Holding On differs quite a lot from the guitar pop sound of the two previous promo tracks, but absolutely brilliant nonetheless.

Speaking of guitar pop. Check this track by Very Truly Yours from the band's forthcoming 7" single (to be released by Cloudberry Records).

Junica has posted this new track for streaming at SoundCloudWith the added news that an EP will be out at the end of the month!

A Month of Unrequited Love...

Won’t blame you if you’re fed up hearing about Michael Møller by now, but I promise that this will be the second to last post on his A Month of Unrequited Love project. May is over and thus ended the project yesterday. Tonight Mr. Møller (with or without band - I don't know) will perform all 31 songs live at Charlottenborg in Copenhagen and unless the whole thing suddenly catches fire and the world demands an extended tour, this will be the only performance of its kind. Call it a once in a lifetime opportunity or call it whatever you like. I’ll be there and hopefully lots of others will as well. Starts at 6 pm and the admission is free.

Absolutely wonderful...tomorrow's the last day of the A Month Of Unrequited Love project! Now (more than ever) is the time to make a donation!
